With the honeymoon period well and truly over maybe the England manager is having second thoughts about casting aside one of England's true fighters.
Yesterday the Daily Mail commented that many senior England players will be discussing the Spain match with Steve McClaren ahead of the crucial Euro 2008 qualifier next month.
Experience is required to steady the good ship England, and with Beckham's recent match winning performance for Real Madrid changing Capello's mind maybe Beckham is in Steve mcClaren's thoughts once again.
